In a meeting with the experts of Wayra we had to answer one question: What is attractive to my user? Is it availability strong enough to make people buy? The models that have success in Internet had always talked about price. The main assumption is if someone looks for flight tickets in eDreams is because he wants the best price; occurs the same if he is looking for hotels, restaurants and even clothes.
There is no doubt that the low cost model has won a battle to traditional model in everywhere. Good examples are Ikea, Inditex, Raynair…and many other brands. The same can be applied to Internet companies. But the world is changing. Airbandb, is just price or also availability? Why Inditex sell online at the same price as in the shops?
Maybe the user is more and more demanding. They want good price but also they want opinions to ensure they are not giving quality off. They also want to make sure that the stuff they are buying is available, main problem ofvouchers. So we can say that availability, if it goes with price, is attractive. They want it cheaper, available and easier. Can your startup offer these?
